Institut de Soudure Industrie provides international training courses as specified by the IIW (International Institute of Welding) and the European Welding Federation (EWF). These courses enable diploma holders to exercise their trade world-wide.
The IIW and EWF have approved a common training and qualification programme for welders. A single authority, the International Authorisation Board (IAB), manages this system through the IIW. This authority approves a single organisation in each member state: the Authorised National Body (ANB), responsible for monitoring the dispensing of training courses, the organisation of examinations and the issue of diplomas.
In France, the ANB is AFS (Association Française du Soudage). Institut de Soudure Industrie organises its diploma courses under AFS supervision.
The preparation for international diplomas is conducted at our main training centres in France and abroad, at company premises or alternatively in partnership with local organisations.
